Part 6: Choosing Which Exchange and Setting up Your Crypto Trading Account

Once you have created a Crypto wallet and chosen which Crypto to invest in, it is time to pick out an exchange. It is important to note however, some exchanges like Coinbase offer an app that acts as an exchange and a wallet. Through the app, you can both buy and trade Cryptocurrencies as well as store them.

Remember, however, that just because you use the Coinbase exchange it doesn’t mean you have to use the Coinbase digital wallet as there are many other wallets out there, as mentioned in part 5 of this blog series.

Once you have selected which exchange you would like to use, you will need to set up an account.

First, enter your name, email address, password and mobile phone number.

You will then be asked to link your account to the broker Olsson Capital, however, you can choose to skip this step. You will, however, need to deposit funds before making any trades.

You are then free to explore the site. You can choose to either make a manual trade, or an auto trade from here.

What is the difference?

Auto-trading- An automated trading system (ATS) is a computer program that creates orders and automatically submits them to a market center or exchange. The program will automatically generate orders based on predefined set of rules using a trading strategy which is often based on technical analysis but can also be based on input from other electronic sources.

Manual-trading- A trading system that involves human decision-making for entering and exiting trades. This is in contrast to automatic trading, which employs programs linked to market data, which are able to originate trades based on human instructional criteria.

If you choose to manual trade, you will be presented with this screen from which you can again select your personal requirements…

You will then be able to monitor/ alter your trades as you wish.
