Hot on the heels of being formally mandated to explore a sale, partial sale or initial public offering of the business, a Morgan Stanley branded teaser document has started landing in the inboxes of trade players, private equity firms and other potential buyers. The document pitches ABC Tissue as Australia's biggest seller of toilet tissue in the retail channel, with more than 57 per cent market share. Potential buyers were told ABC Tissue was the leading supplier of toilet paper to Australia's supermarkets and had nation-wide distribution via its multiple sites. Prospective acquirers were told ABC Tissue had been operating for more than 30 years and growth options included moving into the away from home channel, growing online sales and launching new premium range products. Formal due diligence documents are expected to be in the market in coming weeks, with indicative offers likely shortly after.
